“Shelly helped me overcome chronic shoulder pain by using a combination of physiotherapy treatments, yoga poses and meditation. Her holistic approach was key to improving my mental, physical and emotional health. Having a customized yoga treatment plan to follow was instrumental in helping me overcome my pain and allowing me to build strength and increase my flexibility. Her program helped improve many aspects of my life through an eye-opening self discovery journey. Shelly's bright personality and caring approach were extremely motivating. Today, yoga is still a huge part of my life, thanks to Shelly!"

“I had suffered from significant back pain for several months and had to undergo surgery before meeting Shelly. The surgery was able to relieve some of my pain, but I was still suffering from pain on a daily basis. Shelly's techniques of strengthening and stretching, most of these gained through yoga poses, were ble to return me back to my prior level of function...pain-free! And as an added bonus, I was able to drop some weight and my body was more toned. Thank you Shelly!”

"Over the past 20 years or so, I have had physical therapy eight times for back and neck problems. I can honestly say that Shelly was the best therapist that has treated me. She listened to my concerns and developed a plan that suited my personality and lifestyle. When I took yoga and pilates classes from her, she always addressed the physical limitations of the class participants and offered modifications as needed. Most important, she taught the proper form and technique which has served me well as I've moved on to other classes. Not all instructors are created equal, and I'm grateful for what she taught me. As a result of her physio-yoga therapy and instruction, I have been able to manage my chronic back pain and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. Shelly is the best! I wish she was still here in Georgia!"

“Yoga combined with physiotherapy literally changed my life. I have always lived a healthy active lifestyle when back pain suddenly put a stop to that. A couple years ago I had back surgery for a herniated disc that was causing excruciating true sciatica pain (10/10 pain level). Post surgery, I had been doing a variety of therapies and had already accepted that I would be in pain for the rest of my life. But I was only 80% recovered. Then a friend recommended Physio-Yoga Therapy with Shelly. I can honestly say that after experiencing physio-yoga therapy with Shelly I felt better every single week. I now can experience life the way it is intended to be enjoyed. I continue to practice yoga on a daily basis and am very passionate about it. Thank you, Shelly for teaching/showing me the proper form and breathing techniques that make yoga so unique. I continue to use the yoga skills that Shelly taught me in all of my classes and self practice. Yoga continues to help me daily emotionally and physically on so many levels. Yoga helps me maintain a healthy and pain-free life! Namaste”

I am truly grateful for the time that I got to spend with her and learn from a woman who truly lives her passion. “I started doing physio-yoga therapy with Shelly as I was having lower back and leg pain, but I even continued with the physio-yoga therapy even after my pain subsided because I enjoyed it so much. I incorporated the poses and stretches that she taught me into my own workout routine and now I am in the best shape of my life (even after just having a baby 4 months ago)!”

“I struggled with a shoulder injury for 3 years that sometimes would get so bad I couldn't sleep or dress myself. Then fate lead me to Shelly Prosko and within 6 months of treatment I was without pain. (Then when Shelly began her yoga therapy classes 7 months ago I jumped at the chance). Shelly has a healing sense about her and you can feel that energy in practice! I would encourage anyone who is looking to participate in their own healing to use Shelly's knowledge to their benefit.”

“When I began seeing Shelly for my right shoulder, I was very worried about my condition. I am an active 41 year old and participate in many organized sports, and this was the first “injury” that I felt was complicating my everyday life including both work and sleep. My shoulder was so painful that I couldn’t even throw a baseball. Sleeping was getting to the point that I would wake up several times a night with my whole right arm numb if I rolled onto my right side. I work as a dental hygienist, and my arms/shoulders are critical to my livelihood (and unfortunately my work is what aggravates my shoulders to flare up). Shelly introduced me to physio-yoga therapy. She demonstrated the techniques and poses, working with my breathing and positioning, and made the whole experience not only therapeutic from the standpoint of my shoulder, but I always felt very mentally relaxed and at ease after our sessions. Initially I began to get more mobility back in my shoulder, and most of my pain went away quickly, but with successive treatment, I noticed far better flexibility than my upper body had known in a long while and much improved strength in both shoulders. By the time our sessions had ended, I was relieved of all pain during activity, my flexibility was probably better than when I was in high school, and my upper body and shoulders felt stable and strong. Shelly’s treatment was about two years ago and I haven’t had any return of pain or soreness. One of the greatest things about this type of therapy is that once Shelly had shown me what I needed to do, I could continue with it on my own, and help myself stay in good health. I was very fortunate to have Shelly for my physical therapy.”
